I don't think Dr. Jung could have ever imagined his mystical personality archetypes would be used in ... post-WW II corporate bureaucracies to make the gears run smoother. In any case, some useful ideas in these classifications. But I'm still in agreement with William Whyte that these tests were to identify employees who were a little too reflective for life in a large organization. That became associated, for good reason, with introverts.
